Is the Keen Academy diploma actually recognised by employers?

Yes. Keen Academy is an approved centre for OTHM, a UK awarding body regulated by Ofqual, the same government authority that oversees A-Levels and GCSEs in the UK. Your diploma carries full international recognition. Malaysian employers, regional companies, and UK universities all accept it. This is not a random online certificate, it is a verified, government-regulated qualification.

Really zero exams? How does assessment work then?

Really zero exams. The OTHM Level 3 programme is 100% coursework-based. You complete written assignments for each module and submit them to your tutor. Your work is assessed internally by Keen Academy and externally verified by OTHM. No exam hall. No time pressure. No resit fees. Just steady, consistent work that you submit at your own pace.

My SPM results weren't great. Can I still apply?

Yes. Keen Academy has a basic entry requirement, not a strict one. You do not need straight As or any specific SPM subjects. As long as you have basic English proficiency and the commitment to complete your assignments, you qualify. If you have relevant work experience, that counts too through our RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) pathway. Not sure if you qualify? Talk to our advisor, we'll tell you honestly.

Can I study while working full time?

Yes and many of our students do exactly that. The programme is designed to fit around a working schedule. Most students study in the evenings or on weekends. Because there are no fixed exam dates to stress about, you can manage your study pace without it clashing with your job. 6 months of part-time effort is all it takes to come out the other side with a UK-recognised diploma.

How is this different from ACCA?

ACCA is a prestigious qualification but it requires 13 papers, multiple exam sittings, and 3–5 years of study. The global pass rate for many ACCA papers sits below 50%. Keen Academy's OTHM Level 3 diploma is a faster, coursework-based alternative that is still UK-regulated and globally recognised. It is not a replacement for ACCA at the senior level but if you want to start your accounting career now without years of exam stress, OTHM is the smarter starting point.

What jobs can I apply for after graduating?

After completing your OTHM Level 3 diploma, you are qualified to apply for entry-level accounting roles including Accounts Assistant, Finance Admin, Junior Accountant, Bookkeeper, and Payroll Assistant. These roles exist in every industry from SMEs to large corporations. You graduate job-ready, not just paper-qualified.

Can I go to a UK university after this diploma?

Yes. The OTHM Level 3 diploma is a direct pathway to further study. You can progress to the OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business, and from there, apply for Year 2 direct entry into a UK university bachelor's degree programme. You skip Year 1 entirely, saving time and tuition fees. Your diploma is your ladder, not your ceiling.
